KCPS Office of Students in Transition
The KCPS Office of Students in Transition is responsible for identifying homeless students under the McKinney-Vento Act. In June of 2021 I partnered with the department to create the booklet below that shares the most recent stats on the homeless student population with community stakeholders and also educates teachers and adults on how to identify signs of homelessness in the student body.
